Just generate troops en masse and forget about everything else. Why limit the playstyles of the players? Like this seems to look like more of a one trick pony to till you hit 19th century. Like just getting the first warker and farms up and we are already at around round 20.Īlso I like to play non-aggresive and if this expansio takes that out of viable solutions (Like when I play Gandhi, the first thing in my mind is not to go to war with neighbouring faction) (Yes I roleplay a bit)īut back to the point: Why did they bother adding additional options for victory states if they aren't achievable with the play style from start on. I give massive handicap in science and development of everything if the very first thing I need to do is to start generating warriors en mass soon as I get my first settlement up. Yeah but if you go by the rules, you cant have much at round 60, assuming the one warrior takes ~5-6 turns to generate, 11 for settler and so forth.
So any advice? I do not want to download any mod that removes AI handicap or modifies the game in anyway.īecause I can not bend the rules of the game myself, but AI seems to be happy to do it. I still enjoy this game a ton, but this is a really furstrating thing. Of course I love this game specially when I am able to stand alive the first 3 assault from AI and make a stand and even win by domination.
This applies to almost every resource they have except uranium, nukes seem to be only thing I never see AI pulling out of their bag of magical trickery.Īlso at the start it would seem that AI only attacks the player. In later matches that I have been able to still be in I have seen some Civilization having armier or rediculus propotions compared to their Civilization or resources. The happiness cap and production cap hits the roof instantly.īut by my observation the following rules do not apply to AI: Now by my math, no one should be able to generate a army and civilization like that in 60 rounds. 2 Cities, 4 warriors + 1 archer, 1 workboat, 3 workers (1 from culture + 2 from pyramids) Of course he steam rolled over my whole Civilization that consisted of: He had 2 Catapults, 5 archers, 2 horsebacks, 5 warriors, 2 spearmen, + great general. Zulu that spawned middle of desert already had 8 cities. Here is a what happened in my last game that I lost instantly: I haven't been able to stay alive unless I spawned in some really remote area or in a position in which I can bottleneck an enemy. I usually play on Price (4) difficulity and I been able to win games or at least stay alive until Gandhi or someone gets the technology victory (or world leader in BNW).īut lately in few games very early I been facing just stupidly over powered and blatantly cheating opponents. I know that AI has always been cheating in Civilization games but now it has got to the point that it is seriously annoying me now that brave new world was released.
